The Land Registry recorded 2,938 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in October, down 24.5% compared with September and 33.9% lower year-on-year.

The total consideration for such agreements fell 2.5% from September to $29 billion in October, while an 11.5% year-on-year decrease was recorded.

Of the agreements, 2,123 were for residential units, down 25.8% from September and 32.6% lower than a year ago.

The total consideration for residential units was $24.5 billion, a rise of 7.5% compared with September 2023 and down 9.9% from October last year.

There were 365,510 land register searches last month.
