The Land Registry recorded 9,957 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in July, up 6.1% from June and 31.4% higher year-on-year.

The total consideration for such agreements rose 1.5% from June to $94 billion in July, representing a 35.6% year-on-year increase.

Of the agreements, 7,579 were for residential units, down 0.2% from June and 23.6% higher than a year ago.

The total consideration of residential units was $78.6 billion, a drop of 2.8% compared with June and up 32.1% from June 2020.

There were 530,252 land register searches last month.
