.The Land Registry recorded 6,212 sale and purchase agreements for all building units for registration in January, down 18.2% from December and 64.5% higher year-on-year. The total consideration for such agreements fell 4.9% from December to $66.8 billion, representing a 130.1% year-on-year increase. Of the agreements, 4,562 were for residential units in January, down 24.8% from December and 65.2% higher than a year ago. The total consideration for residential units was $39.7 billion, down 32.3% compared with December and up 60.4% from January 2020. There were 446,139 land register searches last month.
